I've tried a lot of different snuff and Rosinski never ceases to amaze with being unlike anything else. This one is amazing!

If you love Wilson’s of Sharrow “Irish No. 22”, then Ochsenkopf is a great place to start in Rosinski’s catalog. Rosinski’s iteration of a simple, lightly-ammoniated snuff, it is of incomparably higher quality than its distant English-branded cousins. Ochsenkopf is a very enjoyable snuff with a robust tobacco fragrance. The number-one aroma is that of tobacco, and it is magnificent! The ammoniated “barnyard” aroma is present here —- which American snuff enthusiasts like myself often enjoy —- however it is by no means overwhelming or overdone. Although somewhat similar in fragrance to a “toast” snuff, it has almost no smokiness.
The base flour made of local German cultivars is the centerpiece of this snuff. Unlike the base flours used by big English snuff houses, all Rosinski snuff begins with an exquisite flour made only of leaf; no ground-up woody stems. Each snuff also has its own special flour, so you will not find this flour in other Rosinski snuffs with another scent thrown on top of it. Ochsenkopf is golden brown, is neither too moist nor too dry, and ground medium-fine (not powdery, not gritty). For these reasons, it is a pleasure to take! Tobacco enthusiasts are sure to appreciate its smooth body and natural tobacco fragrance. To sum it up poetically, Ochsenkopf is a German love letter to those fond of toast snuff, written on tobacco leaves in an ink of clean water and a touch of ammonia.

I can't really put a finger on why I enjoy this so much but I do. Someone put it well on snuffhouse that this is greater than the sum of its parts and I whole heartily agree. Wonderful snuff that keeps you coming back.
